Set Screws
DIC Fasteners is a Manufacturer of Set Screws, that typically comes headless with just a drive on top. It is a screw that secures an object within or against another object. Set Screws, also known as blind screws or grub screws, are widely used in all engineering, product design, and repair applications, often keeping a potentially moving part locked in place. A Set Screw can be identified by its headless body; its entire body is threaded and comes in various dimensions. Depending on the applications, it has different point types such as plain cup, knurled cup, flat, oval, cone, half dog, and soft tipped. We offer multiple selections of set screws that are durable and versatile for any application.
- Plain Cup Set Screws: One of the most common types of set screws has a slightly concave recess in the flat end of their tips.
- Knurled Cup Set Screws: knurled cup Set Screws are the same as plain cup Set Screws except that the outer edge of the cup also features jagged teeth. These should not be reused once removed as serrated teeth of the knurled design will be damaged.
- Flat Set Screws: Flat Set Screws are made with a completely flattened end. These screws are reusable since removing the screws does not damage them in any way.
- Oval Set Screws: Have a round slightly convex tip. These are sometimes also called domed point Set Screws.
- Cone Set Screws: These screws are sharpened at the tip and designed to penetrate the underlying surface to a degree.
- Dog Point Set Screws: Dog Point Set Screws have a lengthened tip that is flattened out at the end.
- Soft-Tipped Set Screws: These screws have a softer and more malleable end section than the main body.
- Ball Point Set Screws: Having a ball tip at the end of the screw. It is useful when two non-parallel surfaces need to be clamped firmly together.
